Fees

FEES POLICY

MKM acts for both Private and Legally Aided clients, depending on eligibility.

Fixed fees are available for straightforward applications at competetive rates. Please contact us for a list of our fees.

We also offer no win no fee arrangements for certain cases. Please contact one of our Solicitors to discuss whether your case meets our criteria for no win no fee arrangements

We also offer Single Advice Sessions to those wishing to obtain general advice on an area of Immigration Law or to gain clarification on their Immigration position. These are available at the rate of £120+VAT for 1 hour consultation.  This is payable on the day and there will be no extra or hidden charges.

We make a commitment to all of our private clients to provide clear and mutually agreed fee arrangements in advance with no hidden costs that offer full value for money and allow our clients to budget effectively for legal services.

Fees are based on advising, preparing and submitting applications.  Additional work such as chasing delays, obtaining additional documents and dealing with any resulting refusals, appeals or requests for additional evidence will incur additional charges at the standard hourly rate.

These fees exclude any fees payable to the Home Office.

LEGAL AID - PUBLIC FUNDING

This firm holds a category 1 franchise and specialist quality mark in asylum and immigration. The provision of free legal advice and representation in immigration is subject to a means and merits test. Fincanical eligibility does not guarantee the provision of legal aid and any person claiming eligibility will be required to provide documentary proof.

To find out if you are financially eligible for Legal Aid, you can use the CLS Direct Legal Aid Calculator www.clsdirect.org.uk/legalhelp/calculator.jsp?lang=en

Please note that the provision of free advice and representation was severely restricted by the introduction of the graduated fee scheme in October 2007. The scheme imposes strict financial limits on the majority of immigration cases. These limits are not extendable and restrict the amount of work that can be conducted on your case.
